In February 2008, the first annual Battle of the Bands Crankin’ It Up for the Boys and Girls Club of the Piedmont was held at Statesville High School’s Mac Gray Auditorium. Six select bands from across the state took the stage and competed for a Guitar Center Prize Package, Sam Ash gift certificates, and a cash prize.  The event was a huge success, raising over $5,000 which funded a scholarship for a deserving member of the Boys and Girls Club.

This year’s Battle was be held on February 28th, 2009 at Mac Gray Auditorium from 5pm-9pm.  This event raised a projected $6,000 for a Boys and Girls Club scholarship fund.  Thanks to all who contributed to success of  this event.
